Student organizing began Wednesday night (11/14) with the painting of the Rock
SSLA's first meeting (11/15)! It was a great turnout! Over 70 students showed up!
SSLA had a positive, non-confrontational demonstration employing positive language only. SSLA made sure to use "I support" statements in their posters
Evening demonstrators used more provocative language to elicit responses from the BOV
Over 40 students showed up for SSLA's first silent demonstration to the BOV (11/16)
Some dedicated students went beyond the afternoon protest on Friday (11/16) and intercepted the BOV on their breaks later in the evening
We have lots of fun sloganeering. This banner reads: "It's a shame your gods and philosophers don't bring in the bucks...bye, bye!"
